The Foreign Language Modern Education Technology Center is mainly responsible for the formulation and implementation of relevant rules and regulations for the language laboratories of the School of Foreign Studies, as well as for the informatization reform and the construction of the laboratories.
In accordance with the teaching syllabus and the experimental teaching scheme, this center utilizes modern education technologies to explore, introduce, customize and develop relevant experimental software and hardware, and strives to build modern education technology laboratories suitable for foreign language teaching of the university, so as to promote the integration and development of modern education technology and foreign language teaching, enhance the quality of foreign language teaching, and facilitate teaching-related research.
This center now integrates resources of the speech laboratory, simultaneous interpreting laboratory, computer-aided translation laboratory, the laboratory of postgraduate English practice center (EPC), and the Foreign Language FM Station of the School of Foreign Studies to achieve resource sharing and coordinated development. It also organizes teachers and technicians of the laboratories to jointly explore new ways for experimental teaching, the law of teaching with modern education technology, and how to better use these foreign language laboratories, so that the center can be really beneficial to the students for them to improve comprehensive application ability, self-learning ability, foreign language research ability and innovation ability from experimental teaching.
